Hot Dudes of Dune

Beth is the proud sponsor of two little women and…
Frank Herbert described the setting of his 1965 sci-fi space epic, Dune, as the wasteland of the Empire. It’s a dry desert of sand dunes with little relief from the whirlwind of hot winds and burning temperatures. Dune is scorching hot.
And so is its cast.
Vanity Fair just released a first look at Denis Villeneuve’s new adaptation of the Herbert classic, starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac and more.
Dune is exactly the novel that lends itself to adaptation again and again. It has the house allegiances of Game of Thrones, the familial tempests of Greek tragedies, the heroic journeys of Lord of the Rings, the political intrigues of The Americans and the sci-fi chops to have directly influenced Star Wars. It’s drama and war and family and religion and commentary.
And the cast is scorching hot.
Timothée Chalamet is Paul Atreides
Giving us all the flowing Kylo Ren vibes without any of the genocidal angst, Timothée is undoubtedly hot in Dune.

Jason Momoa is Duncan Idaho
Probably the most heroic of all the names in Dune, Duncan Idaho, played by a tattoo-and-beard-free Jason Momoa is a scorching hot warrior tutor.

Oscar Isaac is Duke Leto Atreides
Killing us not very softly at all, Oscar Isaac decided to look directly into the lens of this now dead camera to give us the first glimpse of the Head of House Atreides, who definitely does not get beheaded in the first act.

Not to outdone, the ladies of Dune are also scorching hot.
Rebecca Ferguson is Lady Atreides
Mother, concubine, soldier … and scorching hot.
#DUNE FIRST LOOK: Rebecca Ferguson is Lady Jessica Atreides.
“She’s a mother, she’s a concubine, she’s a soldier,” says Ferguson. “The quality of the arcs for much of the women have been brought up to a new level.”

Sharon Duncan-Brewster is Dr. Liet Kynes
Gender-bending original characters like a badass who is also scorching hot.
#DUNE FIRST LOOK: Sharon Duncan-Brewster portrays ecologist Dr. Liet Kynes, a role previously depicted by a white man:

Zendaya is Chani
You’re going to need to collect moisture from somewhere other than your nose because Zendaya as Chani is that scorching hot.

The hotness doesn’t stop there: Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Charlotte Rampling, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård are rounding out the cast of this highly anticipated new adaptation. Be stillsuit, my heart.
Dune is set to hit theaters at the end of 2020.
Beth is the proud sponsor of two little women and a huge fan of fandom. She took 3 years of Latin in high school and now speaks fluent pretension, which fully explains her current preference for gay wizard regency novels. She will roll over for a giant book with a map in the front. She takes comic book recommendations every day but Wednesday and TV recommendations never (she knows what's good).
