Hello, my delicate warmbloods. Midnight Sun, that precious collection of Edward Thoughts has been out in the world for weeks now. Most of us devoured it like an irritable grizzly the day it released, and nothing really prepared us for how much fun it would be to travel back to Forks.

If you’ve been around The Cool Table for any length of time, you’ll know that book clubs and book reviews are our favorite things, next to economic justice, comic-con, and Chris Evans, and our conversation about Midnight Sun was just what the quarantine gods ordered! Perfect mix of fandom nostalgia, literary criticism and pure awe. If you haven’t watched it yet, you can see it here!

Once the reviews started rolling in, I got a little beside myself, aghast at how simply arrogant so many outlets are about the love that Edward and Bella have, and the way in which Twilight and now Midnight Sun explore it. You can read that little tirade here.
