Sarah MacLean’s Daring and the Duke Does Not Disappoint

If you’re anything like me, all you want right now are your roots touched-up, everyone to wear their face masks, and a good romance novel about a powerful man groveling before the woman he loves. Lucky for us, Sarah MacLean’s latest book, Daring and the Duke, publishes everywhere tomorrow. Go ahead and scratch that last one off the list.

Single-minded and ruthless, Ewan, Duke of Marwick, has spent a decade searching for the woman he never stopped loving. A long-ago gamble may have lost her forever, but Ewan will go to any lengths to win Grace back… and make her his duchess.

Reconciliation is the last thing Grace wants. Unable to forgive the past, she vows to take her revenge. But revenge requires keeping Ewan close, and soon her enemy seems to be something else altogether―something she can’t resist, even as he threatens the world she’s built, the life she’s claimed… and the heart she swore he’d never steal again.

Grace Condry, aka Dahlia, is instantly recognizable from her previous appearances in MacLean’s Bareknuckle Bastards series. She’s a brutal duke’s most guarded secret, a former bareknuckle fighter, the proprietress of an exclusive female pleasure house, and sister to Whit and Devil. She’s unstoppable and fierce and doesn’t appear to have any weaknesses – except a gaping hole in her heart left when Ewan betrayed her as a child.

For his part, Ewan is angsty and dark, but determined to finally have the life with Grace they always dreamed of. Even if fighting for her means humbling himself before all of Covent Garden in the most spectacular ways. I never knew how badly I needed a scene of a hot duke doing laundry by hand, but I did. I really did.

There’s nothing I love more than two powerful characters fighting it out for dominance when love requires submitting to one another.

There’s no author who writes that kind of love story better than Sarah MacLean.

You’re going to love Daring and the Duke. Pre-Order your copy before it is released on Tuesday, June 30th.
