Friends Reunion is Coming to HBO Max

Just like that time your high school girls’ soccer team got together for drinks at Cafe Olé 15 years after your ten year reunion didn’t quite go as planned, Friends, the darling sitcom from NBC, is getting an unscripted reunion this May on HBO Max.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will all appear in a streaming celebration of the 90s hit, complete with executive producer’s credits and something like a $3-4 million dollar salary.

It will be the first time the entire gang has been together on set since the farewell for the finale that aired on Oprah in 2004. The show itself is not a scripted revisit of the characters, but instead a totally unscripted look back at what was.
The special, which will be filmed on the original Friends soundstage, and the entire 10-season series seems to be the flagship content for HBO Max’s launch in May. The numbers from Netflix’s run hosting the series seem to indicate that HBO will have no problem getting subscribers to sign up.
Will you be there for the Friends’ reunion?Â
Beth is the proud sponsor of two little women and a huge fan of fandom. She took 3 years of Latin in high school and now speaks fluent pretension, which fully explains her current preference for gay wizard regency novels. She will roll over for a giant book with a map in the front. She takes comic book recommendations every day but Wednesday and TV recommendations never (she knows what's good).
