FBoy Island is Perfect Reality Dating TV

FBoy Island

Do you all remember when Marie Kondo went super viral and we were all talking about what sparks joy in our lives? It’s FBoy Island for me.

Honestly, the logline from HBOMax speaks for itself.

Three women move to a tropical island where they’re joined by 24 men – 12 self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love, and 12 self-proclaimed “FBoys,” there to compete for cold, hard cash. The women will navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a lasting love connection. By the finale, all will be revealed – who is a Nice Guy, who is an FBoy, and who do the women ultimately choose. FBOY ISLAND is a social experiment that asks the age-old question: Can FBoys truly reform or do Nice Guys always finish last?

FBoy Island has it all.

Three gorgeous women (at least two of whom have personalities) who collectively have horrible taste in men. A group of truly hot men who secretly self-categorize as a “nice guy” or an “FBoy.” An island villa filled with suppressed hormones. Oh and $100,000 on the line.

It’s a dating show with a cash prize. So they’re literally motivated by money and can’t deny it like some shows do.

*cough* The Bachelor *cough*

I’m obsessed.

It doesn’t hurt that it’s hosted by the hilarious Nikki Glaser and created by the genius behind The Bachelor franchise when it was good, Elan Gale. It’s funny, sincere, campy, and genuine all at once.

It’s more fun than The Bachelor, less scandalous than Temptation Island, and way less horrifying to watch than Too Hot to Handle

I haven’t enjoyed a show so much in a long time.

The last three episodes of FBoy Island drop on HBOMax today, Thursday, August 12th. If you like trash TV with a hint of heart, I promise you won’t regret catching up on this one.
