Apple TV’s newest and most highly anticipated series, The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon, has finally graced our small screens with the trailer drop yesterday! Your favorite new melodrama will premiere on May 16th! Get ready for John Chu, Jack McBrayer, Clark Gregg and DeWanda Wise to sweep into another world of sappy decadence and sordid suspense.

There is a framework story airing around your newest hyperfixation, Sanctuary Moon, that, it seems, Apple TV is also promoting. KillDroid? SlayMaton? Um … Murderbot. That’s it.

Murderbot stars Alexander Skarsgård as the titular misanthropic android with enough human parts to feel embarrassed and enough mechanical parts to fuck some shit up. It looks like the trailer for Sanctuary Moon had more Murderbot scenes in it than anything else. Surprising.

Anyway, here it is:

94.8% of this trailer happens in chapter one of the very first novella. It’s classic Murderbot, and it’s spot on. I am currently re-reading the series (which I’ve read three times already) just to get that much more pumped up for this show. Get ready, friends, because Sanctuary Moon, ok fine, Murderbot is coming to The Cool Table.
