All the Spring Romance Books to Add to Your TBR List

You know it’s almost time for coconut-scented sunscreen and sugary drinks by the pool when every new release looks like it sprang from the earth in full bloom. Their covers are so bright that even if these new spring romance books didn’t make me swoon with an abundance of HEA endings (and they do) they’d still be enough to put me in a good mood.

Luckily for us, the romance found in them burns even brighter.

Here are some of my favorite recently released romance books that you need to add to your TBR list immediately.

Book Lovers

You know how in every Hallmark or Lifetime holiday movie the lead falls for a small-town baker and dumps their big-city high-profile girlfriend or boyfriend? Book Lovers by Emily Henry is that story told from the perspective of the high-profile girlfriend who got dumped. And it’s so so good.

This is a book that turns the small-town trope on its head in the most delightful way. It’s a story of self-acceptance and being seen –and loved– for who you truly are.

Also, it’s super hot and I’d die for Charles and Nora.

By the Book

Staying on the trend of romance set in the publishing world, By the Book is Jasmine Guillory’s latest and you’re not going to want to miss it.

First things first, this is absolutely a Beauty and the Beast retelling, but Isabelle and Beau make it work.

Isabelle is an editorial assistant who agrees to visit a reclusive socialite who is late turning in his memoir to the agency. Suddenly, she finds herself staying in a mansion in Santa Barbara with a grumpy, impossible man who she sometimes wants to strangle and other times wants to kiss.

Something Wilder

Something Wilder is like no other Christina Lauren book which came before it…and I would know because I’ve read them all.

This is part adventure, part mystery, part thriller, and, sure, part romance, but mostly that other stuff.

I read the entire thing in one day so it’s definitely readable, but if you’re looking for your typical CLo book, prepare to be surprised.

The Sign For Home

I’ve never read a book quite like The Sign for Home and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible.

This is the story about a deafblind man living in a world that has been abusively curated and limited due to the people who are supposed to be his support system. Then, his world is busted wide open by a messy new interpreter who just wanted a summer gig. What comes next is truly heartbreaking and, eventually, beautiful.

I’ll be thinking about this book for a long time.

To Marry and to Meddle

Martha Waters is quickly becoming one of my “must-read” historical romance authors. I love her stories.

In To Marry and to Meddle, a marriage of convenience (perhaps my favorite trope) is supposed to save Lord Julian and Emily from the corners their lives have shoved them in. Obviously, that’s impossible because they’re wildly attracted to one another and OMG it’s so good.

To Marry and to Meddle serves up the same white-hot chaotic energy from the last two books in this series but with 100% more Emily and Julian.

I, for one, loved every second.

Go Hex Yourself

Go Hex Yourself was a super fun read from one of my go-to feel-good romance authors.

When Reggie takes a job as a personal assistant for an elderly woman she has no idea what she’s signing up for. It turns out that, not only is the old lady a witch, but she’s thousands of years old and up to absolutely no good.

It doesn’t help that her super hot but super grumpy warlock nephew lives in the house too. Or does it?

All around a ridiculous, steamy, funny read.
